Chester County is a large and complex county. With approximately 500,000 residents, our county includes Fortune 500 companies, beautiful preserved open spaces, working farms, historical structures, and vibrant downtown areas. The Chester County District Attorney is the chief law enforcement officer for the county. Within the county, we have over 50 law enforcement agencies working together, including municipal police departments, the Pennsylvania State Police, federal agencies, and the Chester County Detectives.

In partnership with our outstanding Chester County police departments, the Chester County District Attorney’s Office uses the most advanced law enforcement investigative techniques, technology, and trial skills to protect and serve the residents of Chester County. It is our duty to uphold and defend the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Constitution of the United States of America. Working together, we will keep Chester County a safe place to live, work, and raise a family.

Weeks after taking office, John embarked on a listening tour of all 67 counties, something no sitting Lt. Governor has ever done, to engage with Pennsylvanians about legalizing marijuana. In three months, the historic tour saw over 10,000 people turn out in person and tens of thousands more engage online. Following John’s final report and recommendations, the Governor announced his support for legalization for the first time.

As the chair of Pennsylvania’s Board of Pardons, John has led the fight to give second chances to non-violent longtime inmates and free those who have been wrongfully convicted.

He has taken numerous steps to overhaul the clemency process in Pennsylvania, including eliminating all fees associated with applying for a pardon, making the pardons application more user-friendly, and working to move the application process online. Under John’s tenure, the Board has recommended more applicants for commutation than under any lieutenant governor in decades.

The son of a public school teacher and a pediatrician, Josh grew up seeing how compassion and serving others can change lives and strengthen an entire community. After earning his law degree at night from Georgetown, Josh and his high school sweetheart Lori returned to their hometown where they are raising their four children.

Throughout his career in public service, Josh has been unafraid to challenge the status quo and win big fights that improve the lives of Pennsylvanians.

As Attorney General, he preserved patients’ access to healthcare by taking on the largest healthcare companies in Pennsylvania; exposed a decades-long cover up of child sexual abuse in the Catholic Church; and has returned over $200 million dollars in financial and non-monetary relief to student loan borrowers, seniors, small business and consumers.

Josh knows that we must enforce the rules, even on the most powerful and well-connected, for our economy to deliver for everyday Pennsylvanians, and that inequality hurts us all by denying too many people their shot at success.

Currently in his second term, Josh fulfilled a mandate to modernize the Attorney General’s office and meet its promise to be the people’s law firm. His leadership forced action to take on the climate crisis and held polluters accountable; defended voting rights; and protected women’s access to contraception.

As Attorney General Josh is directing an urgent, across-the-board fight against the big drug companies and trafficking rings that fuel the heroin and opioid epidemic, including more treatment for those suffering from addiction. He is tackling the scourge of gun violence across Pennsylvania and is committed to improving trust in the justice system with a comprehensive integrity agenda, a more diverse workforce, and smart-on-crime criminal justice reforms.

On November 6, 2018, Senator Muth was elected to the state Senate’s 44th District, representing Montgomery, Chester and Berks Counties.

Born and raised in western Pennsylvania, Senator Muth’s background and experience instilled a fervor for citizen activism and service. She was educated at Penn State where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Trainers, and obtained her master’s degree at A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in Mesa, Arizona.

While completing her master’s thesis, she promoted health care for student athletes and studied concussion-related injuries at high schools in the Phoenix area. Senator Muth most recently served as an adjunct professor of kinesiology at a local university, while also practicing sports medicine.

Senator Muth got her start in politics as a volunteer in political campaigns before moving on to form and chair Indivisible Mid Montco.

With a proven record of activism, Senator Muth is focused on helping those struggling to find affordable health care, ensuring equal pay for equal work, promoting a livable wage and paid family medical leave. In addition, the senator is focused on aiding students who are overburdened by heavy student loans.

Senator Muth’s father Scott worked for 44 years in the industrial machine industry. Her mother, Jennifer, was a nutritionist. Both grandfathers were World War II veterans.

Senator Muth and her husband, Trevor, reside in Royersford, Montgomery County.

Prior to taking office, Danielle spent the majority of her professional career in marketing and hospitality, having served on the executive teams of some of Philadelphia’s most notable hospitality brands.

A mother, businesswoman and community leader, Danielle is focused on providing for strong public schools, making health care more affordable and accessible, public safety, conservation and environmental justice, along with workforce development and family-sustaining jobs.

When rumors swirled that the Mariner East pipeline construction would overtake her neighbor's yard, just feet from where her children play, Danielle began to coordinate with neighbors to demand safety, transparency and accountability from government and state agencies who oversee these projects. She was integral in founding Del-Chesco United for Pipeline Safety, a collective of eight coalitions in Delaware and Chester counties joining forces to fight for public safety at the state level.

Danielle lives in Exton with her husband and two children. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, and has called Chester County home for two decades after falling in love with the area while attending West Chester University.

Kristine is a forward thinker from Malvern who is in tune with the needs of her neighbors. As a devoted single mother of seven, three still attending public schools, she focuses on the principle to put children first and work constantly to ensure their safety.

Kristine used her degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Rutgers Law School to run a small legal and social services organization in New Mexico, before returning to Pennsylvania and joining the Philadelphia Lawyers for the Arts as an advocate for youth in foster care. She eventually joined the Chester County Department of Children, Youth, and Family services to investigate child abuse.

Kristine understands quality schools are critical in laying the groundwork for a successful future. This fuels her fight to improve state programs and funding to offer quality education, healthcare, and career opportunities for all, including two-income families and single mothers, whose life challenges she shares.

She’s dedicated to creating solutions to the problems faced by Chester County families. Kristine thanks both her father, a probation officer, and mother, an administrator at Penn Medical School, for inspiring her to pursue a life of civic duty. She currently resides in Malvern.
